Workshop Wednesday at SNR

At Scrapbook News and Review Magazine has an amazing front page full of information, tutorials , organization and so much more. Today is Worskshop Wednesday and its my day...YAH!!!

Today in this tutorial, I will be making a Faux Quilting Card. I love to quilt and its a fun idea to incorporate it with paper. Its also a great way to use up your scraps and show off your 2 sided patterned paper.

You're Special by Lucy Chesna Supplies Carstock: Bazzill; Patterned Paper: Doodlebug; Rhinestone: Doodlebug; Stamp: Inkadinkadoo; Pen: Sharpie; Punch: Creative Memories; Tool; Big Kick; Die Cut: Spellbinders; Other: Ribbon

Supply List
4 different kids of pattered paper
1 1/4 square punch
4 x 5 piece of cardstock
5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Cardbase
Die Cut machine and die cut design
Black pen or marker
Step One: Punch out four different kinds of patterned paper into 1 1/4 squares(four of each paper); Ink the edges
Step Two: Glue them down edge to edge to each other; four across and continue till all the squares have been glued down
Step Three: Run piece of cardstock through the die cut machine to give it clean look; Ink the edges
Step Four: Take your black pen or marker and make "X's" down and across so it looks like faux stitching. If you know to stitch then you can use the sewing machine for this part.

You are ready to put the quilting piece on a card and decorate it. It was so easy to make and its so beautiful. I know I will be making a few of these this weekend using my scraps and I love it. Please note: although no board code and smiley buttons are shown, they are still usable.
