Cauliflower Recipes- Part 4 of 5- Cauliflower Mashed "Potato"

Cauliflower Mashed "Potato" This recipe can be done in a few ways based on your healthy life has led you. Its definitely Gluten Free but what you put in for ingredients will go Keto or Paleo living. You can adjust to way you like it. 1 head of cauliflower- cut up in small pieces, boil it till its cooked then add the cauliflower to the food processor.

You can do so much with these like add turkey, chicken or meat. You can even add more veggies to it.  This recipe can be Keto, Paleo and Gluten Free.  For it to be Paleo recipe, do not add the cheese but instead 2 tbsp of coconut oil, 2 tbsp of coconut flower and 1 tbsp of Ghee to the recipe. This will balance the consistency and form better.

Cauliflower Recipes: Part 1 of 5- Cauliflower "Pizza' Crust

Cauliflower is a great way of replacing potatoes and sweet potatoes in your life. Being Portuguese, lets say potatoes is the staple of most of our meals so this was hard for me to really grasp it but I didn't it. These recipes are easy to make and make it as part of your meal plan for the week. The best tip I can tell you when you start Keto or any kind of healthy change, PLAN AHEAD!!! This will be the stepping stone to see the results you looking for. Before you start any of these recipes, you want the chopped well(rice like texture) and then warm it up in the microwave for about 2 minutes. Take a small towel or cheesecloth and ring out the excess water from the cauliflower. If you don't do this the crust will take longer to bake.

I started Keto about 5 months ago and like any other programs, you have your ups and downs. This is not just a fab diet but a way of living. I needed to try something especially being gluten free too. After 4 months with Keto, exercise and changing my way of making food, I am down 30 lbs. I am not done yet and still going strong. I started this journey 5 years ago at 264 and when I hit 200 2 years ago, it felt great but then stopped. My weight would go up 5 lbs then I would lose 5 lbs but that was it. I tried to change a few things especially my exercise and nothing worked. 2013- 264 lbs Today, I am in control and loving the results. I will be posting some recipes, tips and my results through this journey to help others. We all need that support from others that even if we fall off the wagon, we can just get back on and start again. Its just life but when we get it. Its an amazing feeling!
