Scrapbooking
Deadline: January 24, 2012

Free for All (Formerly Known as Strut Your Stuff)
In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook layouts of any size, style and genre with any theme you prefer. Please note that this call is for paper scrapbookers only. The digital sign-up is below in the digital calls area.

Inspiration:

6x12 Pages
For this call, we're looking for pages that are ONLY 6x12. They can be of any theme or topic, but they cannot be any other size than 6x12.

Forever Family
One of the sweetest joys of life is family. For this call, we're looking for layouts that feature pictures of family immediate and extended or those who we consider just like family - and what they mean to us.

Life is Good
It's not just a saying and for this call, we're looking for layouts that feature "Life is Good" as the ttile OR the general theme of the layout.

Pets
They mean so much to us and their presence in our lives is usually felt in a big way. Showcase your pets on your layouts - in all their funny, loving special ways - and send them to us. We can't wait to see them!

Monthly Series:
All About Me: What I Believe In
What I Believe In: Over the course of 2012, we'll be featuring a monthly series called All About Me that will help you develop an album that focuses mainly on you and your life and your feelings and anything else you want to share. For February, we're looking for pages that are centered on "What I Believe In" but this does NOT have to be the title. This is the subject only.

Color of the Month: Red
How will you use red on your page? Projects can be of any theme or subject but you Must use at least 80% of the "Color of the Month" color(s). So think black and white with a couple other colors to balance them out.

KISS - Keep It Simple, Sweetheart
We're on the hunt for Clean and Simple or Modern and Graphic pages. Layouts that rely more on the subject or photo rather than a lot of embellishments or dressing up the page.

One Word Title: Possibilities
Please note that the title MUST only be one word (the word of the month) and cannot have more than that word, but you can use other words for a sub-title.

Recipe Challenge (Not Food Related)
We're excited to roll out this new call for 2012 and it's sure to be a lot of fun! Please submit layouts that follow this recipe:
•1 Piece of Ribbon/Fiber
•2 Photos
•3 Rub-ons
•4 Patterned Papers
•5 Flowers

Scrap Your Stash: Ribbon
For this call, please only submit layouts that feature ribbon and handmade embellishments made from ribbon on them – nothing else will be accepted for publication.

Sketch of the Month
The following sketch is up for interpretation as you see fit. You can create with it as-is, use bits and pieces or turn it on its ear to create a fun layout that is still true to the sketch. All submissions must be layouts.

Cards and Stamping
Deadline: January 24, 2012

Inspiration

Friendship/Sweet of You
Sometimes you just feel the need to reach out to a friend and let them know how much they mean to you. And sometimes a card is the perfect way to thank them for a sweet gesture. Card submissions can be of any style and genre but must either be based on the theme "Friendship" OR have "Sweet of You" in the sentiment.

Frilly & Feminine
Nothing says girly like frilly and feminine. For this call, we're looking for cards that are full of layers, romantic and feminine color schemes, and pretty embellishments and/or stamped images.

One Layer
One-layer cards are deceptively simple and sometimes are even more difficult to create than cards that are chock full of chunky layers. Please only submit cards that are STAMPED one-layer cards in any theme or color scheme.

Product: Bo Bunny
Readers have asked that we feature a company each month as it's a great way to show a variety of uses for popular lines or items that we have squirreled away but aren't quite sure what to do with. This month, the company in the spotlight is Bo Bunny and you can use any collection or item from this amazing brand.

Recipe Challenge (Not Food Related)
We're excited to roll out this new call for 2012 and it's sure to be a lot of fun. For this call, please submit cards that follow this recipe:
•1 Sentiment
•2 Stamped Images
•3 Buttons or Brads
•4 Patterned Papers
•5 Buttons or Brads

Sketch of the Month
The following sketch is up for interpretation as you see fit. You can create with it as-is, use bits and pieces or turn it on its ear to create a fun layout that is still true to the sketch. All submissions must be layouts.

Technique of the Month: Mists and Mica Powders
Are you a mist junkie? Do you love to add mica powders such as Perfect Pearls, Pearl Ex and Lindy's Stamp Gang's Magicals to your cards? If so, then this call is the right one for you!

Digital Scrapbooking
Deadline: January 24, 2012

Free for All (Formerly Known as Strut Your Stuff)
In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook layouts of any size, style and genre with any theme you prefer. Please note that this call is for digital scrapbookers only. The paper sign-up is below in the paper scrapbooking calls above.

Instagram Photos
Go retro and use your favorite phone app or digital action to achieve the Instagram look for your photos.

Splatters and Sprays
Mists, splatters and sprays aren't exclusive to paper scrappers! Show us your fabulous layouts using digital versions of these great accents.

Templates
Digital templates are a great jump start to any layouts and we want to see your layouts using digital templates as a starting point.

Style: Modern & Graphic
Clean lines and linear arrangements serve as the foundation for the Modern and Graphic style. Submit Modern and Graphic digital layouts for this style-based call.

Mixed Media
Deadline: January 24, 2012

Please Note: All mixed media calls are for artists of all styles and categories including traditional paper, hybrid or digital.

Arch: Girl Power
February honors women with Women's Empowerment Week and we're featuring this call as an ode to women everywhere. The arch, with a Girl Power theme, can use vintage or modern images, stamped images, embellishments or anything else that fits the topic.

Artist Trading Cards: Asian Inspired
There's something so visually appealing about Asian colors schemes such as red, black and gold, or more vivid colors schemes such as red, pink, orange and aqua. For this call, we're looking for ATCs that feature Asian images, embellishments and/or colors schemes that lend themselves well to the Asian theme.

Artist Trading Cards: Free for All
Grab your 15 minutes of fame and send in ATCs featuring any theme, style or color scheme.

Inchies: Grid of 9
An inchies set is a set of 9 inchies made from a grid that can all be the same theme but done individually or done as one large background and cut into 9 inchies, so it comes together like a puzzle.

The following is a grid that isn’t the actual size of 9, but it will give you an idea of what we mean by grid. You can stamp on it, color on it, or do whatever you like to it, and then you’ll have perfect cutting lines. Of course, you can also do it by hand or with a ruler and a paper trimmer.
