April Calls HERE (DUE APRIL 21st)

The following is a complete list of available calls for Issue #4, which will be rolled into a Special Double Issue with Issue #5.

Scrapbooking
Deadline: April 21, 2012

Free for All (Formerly Known as Strut Your Stuff)
In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook layouts of any size, style and genre with any theme you prefer. Please note that this call is for paper scrapbookers only. The digital sign-up is below in the digital calls area.

5x7 Photos
For this call, we're looking for layouts with 5x7 photos prominently featured on them. They can be of any theme or topic, but submissions cannot be one pagers.

Birds & Butterflies
They're not just a hot trend, they're pretty to boot. Adding a touch of either/or for this call is a fun way to add some whimsy to your layouts.

Found Objects/Trash to Treasure
There's something extra special about that found object that is just perfect for adding to the uniqueness of a layout. Anything that wasn't meant to be used on a layout or something that was headed to the recycling bin is perfect for this call.

Best Friends/Like Sisters
Best friends are the stuff that life is made of! Show off your best friends on your layouts and show us what makes you such great friends (or the fun you have as best friends).

Monthly Series:

All About Me: Things I Use Wear
Things I Use & Wear: Over the course of 2012, we'll be featuring a monthly series called All About Me that will help you develop an album that focuses mainly on you and your life and your feelings and anything else you want to share. For April, we're looking for pages that are centered on "The Things I Use & Wear" but this does NOT have to be the title. This is the subject only.

Color of the Month: Blue
How will you use blue on your page? Projects can be of any theme or subject but you must use at least 80% of the "Color of the Month" color(s). So think blue with a couple other colors to balance it out.

KISS - Keep It Simple, Sweetheart
We're on the hunt for Clean and Simple or Modern and Graphic pages. Layouts that rely more on the subject or photo rather than a lot of embellishments or dressing up the page.

One Word Title: Healing
Please note that the title must only be one word (the word of the month) and cannot have more than that word, but you can use other words for a sub-title.

Scrap Your Stash: Alphas and Lettering
For this call, please only submit layouts that feature alphas and letters – nothing else will be accepted for publication.

Cards and Stamping
Deadline: April 21, 2012

Flowers/Garden
Blooming flowers and gardens of gorgeousness make for amazing cards. Share yours with us.

Doilies
From Clean and Simple to Shabby Chic, there's also a great way to use doilies on your cards.

Black, White + 1 Color
Black-and-white cards are always visually striking. Add a dash of color and you've got a real winner.

Mother's Day
Whether your mother or someone who treats you like a daughter, this is a great chance to honor the mother in your life.

Product: Webster's Pages
Readers have asked that we feature a company each month as it's a great way to show a variety of uses for popular lines or items that we have squirreled away but aren't quite sure what to do with. This month, the company in the spotlight is Webster's Pages and you can use any collection or item from this amazing brand that you like.

Technique of the Month: Markers & Colored Pencils
Markers and colored pencils are fabulous ways to add colors to your stamped images and to dress up store-bought and handmade embellieshments. How do you use them?

Digital Scrapbooking
Deadline: April 21, 2012

Free for All (Formerly Known as Strut Your Stuff)
In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook layouts of any size, style and genre with any theme you prefer. Please note that this call is for digital scrapbookers only. The paper sign-up is below in the paper scrapbooking calls above.

Art Journaling
Art Journaling isn't just for paper scrappers! Express yourself on a digital canvas and share your work with us.

Overlays
Add some texture or design to your digital paper or photos with digital overlays. Creative or obvious uses of overlays are a plus.

Spring
Birds are singing. Flowers are blooming. Spring is here! We want to see your digital or hybrid pages about everything spring.

Style: Minimalist
Characterized by few embellishments and barely there design, minimalist layouts keep the focus on the photos and story. Send us your minimalist digital or hybrid layouts.

Mixed Media
Deadline: April 21, 2012

Please Note:
All mixed media calls are for artists of all styles and categories including traditional paper, hybrid or digital.

Arches: Parisian
The theme is Parisian and you can go big or go small but let's see how you put your French on!

Artist Trading Cards: Circus
From animals and clowns to the Big Top and primary colors, a circus theme is a great way to pump a little life into your ATCs.

Artist Trading Cards: Free for All
Grab your 15 minutes of fame and send in ATCs featuring any theme, style or color scheme.

Inchies: Faux Postage Stamps
They're cute, compact and work great on any project. For this call, your faux postage stamps can feature any theme or subject
.

Is the SNR magazine back into production? Last I read, they were temporarily closed due to a tornado in Dexter, MI. I was to have something published in March, but b/c of the tornado, it won't be published!! cmsmith46580@gmail.com
