Scrapbooking
By Style: In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook pages by style and genre. We’re currently looking for pages in traditional paper scrapbooking that feature a clearly defined style such as Clean and Simple, Dark and Industrial, Eclectic and Freestyle, Romance and Pretty Chic, Whimsical or Fantasy, and others just ripe for the picking. Please submit at least three to five layouts that you feel best represents your work and explain in a few brief sentences what style you feel best describes your work.

First Day of School/School Days – The first day of school and going back to school are always cause for celebration. For this call, we’re looking for school themed layouts and projects.
Sports & Action – Summer is a great time to get outside and play and this call focuses on pages that are full of action or are sports themed. The sports need not be summer related – any sport is up for consideration.
Sand & Surf – What would summer be without a little sand and playing in the water? Show us your favorite sand and surf memories!
So You Think You Know Me? – It’s an “All about Me” page with a twist. For this call, tell us what people don’t know about you that you really want them to. What hidden treasures are buried inside your heart?
Teens – Ah, what can we say? They’re a constant source of fodder for our pages. No matter the mood or the subject, whether happy, sad or just downright hilarious, we want to see your teen pages.
Using Paint on Your Pages – With any kind and in any way. We’re looking for fabulous techniques and great ways to use paint on your pages. So whatcha got?
You Go Girl – Do you have a daughter or a special girl in your life that you would like to impart some of your wisdom and appreciation for life to? For this call, we’re looking for pages that feature a letter to someone who is important to you and what your hopes and dreams are for her future.

Cards
Back to School – It’s almost time for the school bell to ring and while mom’s may love it, young ones often need encouragement. We’re looking for cards that feature a school theme, either for children or for teachers.
Colored Pencils – Cards can either be colored with regular or watercolor pencils.
Faith Full – We’re looking for cards of faith and they can be on any topic but must include things such as scripture verses and/or religious imagery.
Healing and Hope – These can be anything from Get Well to Thinking of You to I Know You Can Do It and Keep the Faith. All we ask is that you encourage and give hope.
Setting the Scene: Pool or Beach Party – Paper supplies are a great way to get a custom look for any event. This month, we’re hosting a pool or beach party theme and we’d like to see your decorations, invitations, centerpieces, banners, and party favors. Anything you would use at a pool or beach party is fair game.
Sister or Best Friend – Whether your best friend is like a sister to you or your sister is a best friend, we’re in search of cards that are made specifically for them.
Sponging – There are some wonderful looks you can get from sponging, including aging. You can use any medium such as ink, paint, pigments, etc.
Using Paint on Your Cards – Paint is the focus and you can use any type of paint and you can use it any way you like.

Stamping
Please Note: Stamping projects can include anything you stamp on, such as cards, ATCs, inchies, arches, collage, mixed media or whatever fires your imagination.
Pirates – Pirates are fun, whimsical and tickle the imagination. We want to see your pirate themed projects, so send them in, matey.
Postcards – Use your stamps to make a postcard. Sound simple? It is. Sound fun? Oh yeah!
Watermarking – Whether it be Versamark or any other type of watermark ink, we’re looking for projects that feature watermark inks and all the fabulous techniques you can do with them!

Artist Trading Cards
Stencils and Masks: It’s all about technique, baby. Our focus for this call is to show how stencils and masks – of any kind or theme – can be used on ATC’s.
Under the Sea: From fish and mermaids to ships and buried treasure, we’re up for anything under the sea.
Strut Your Stuff: Let your mind wander and create ATC’s with your own theme and muse in mind. This free-for-all category allows you to submit your lovingly made ATC’s with any topic or technique in mind.

Digital
Books -- Whether you're obsessed with the latest vampire series or stick to the classics, part of a book club or helping a young one learn to read, books say something about your personality. We want to see your digital or hybrid layouts featuring books.
Extractions -- A technique that sets the digital world apart, extractions definitely take patience and skill. Show us your mad extraction skills in action on a digital or hybrid layout!
Pirates/Skulls & Crossbones -- Ahoy mateys! Pirate symbols are perfect for that little buccaneer or sassy sweetheart. Make Jack Sparrow proud a submit some fabulous digital or hybrid layouts!
Pen Tablet Work -- Sometimes a mouse just doesn't do it - that's when we break out the pen tablet! Drawing, designing, extracting, any detail work is easier with a pen tablet. We're looking for layouts that showcase your skills with a pen tablet.

Mixed Media
Altered Board Books – Children’s board books are just the right stuff to make an altered board book. Let your imagination take flight as you alter, change up and dress up board books any size, shape or kind.
Coin Envelope Mini Album – Coin envelopes can be found at any office supply store and they’re a great way to make a mini album shine. This call can be of any theme, but it must include coin envelopes as the base of the album.
Inchies: Text – Show us how you incorporate text on your inchies. A great way to accomplish this is with magazine or newspaper captions, dictionary or book pages, stamped sentiments, and so on. Inchies can either be 1”x1” or 1.5”x1.5” or they can be twinchies at 2” x 2” square.
Tags: Surf’s Up – Tags must be size #8 or 6 1/4”x3 1/8” and feature a beach, beach party or fun in the sun theme.
Treasures of Your Heart Mini Album – What is near and dear to you? Share your simple treasures with us in a mini album of any size, shape or structure.
