Deadline: February 12, 2011

Submit Work HERE

Scrapbooking
Strut Your Stuff: In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook pages of style and genre. We're currently looking for pages in traditional paper scrapbooking that feature a clearly defined style such as Clean and Simple, Dark and Industrial, Eclectic and Freestyle, Romance and Pretty Chic, Whimsical or Fantasy, and others just ripe for the picking. Please submit at least three to five layouts that you feel best represents your work and explain in a few brief sentences what style you feel best describes your work.

Accepted styles are Boyish Charms, Clean & Simple, Distressed, Eclectic & Freestyle, Fun & Playful, Modern & Graphic and Pretty Chic/Vintage Romance.

Please Note: This is for paper scrapbookers only. There is a separate call for digital scrapbookers.

All Boy – Getting into Trouble: Have you got a little mischievous monkey to spotlight? If so, then this is the call for you. We’re looking for pages that show your little guy getting into trouble, causing a little mischief, or just being a little stinker. Funny and full of personality journaling will get extra special consideration.

All Things Faux: Why use the real thing when you can have a grand time creating your own embellishments and backgrounds? Whether mimicking a traditional scrapbooking products or starting from scratch with your own imaginative ideas, we’re in search of faux technique laden pages.

Cardboard Base: Flat, corrugated, ripped up or distressed heavily, it’s all good. The only requirement of this call is that the base/background must be cardboard and not cardstock or patterned paper.

Color Scheme: This month's color scheme is pink, chocolatey and full of fun. How will you use it? We want to see, we want to see!

Easter: It’s that time again when spring heralds in this lovely holiday chock full of egg bearing bunnies and baskets brimming with chocolate delights as well as everlasting religious traditions.

Scrap Your Stash – Rub-ons: Each month, we’ll dig into our collective stashes for a popular or oft used product. Please only submit layouts that feature rub-ons. We would also love to hear how you used them, so write up a little blurb about how you changed them up and include it in the supply list.

Using Scallops on Your Pages: Scallops are trendy and really give our pages a shot of whimsy. It doesn’t matter how you get there – a border punch, a die-cut, hand cut from cardstock or patterned paper, or another unique way, we want to see layouts heralding this popular shape.

White Space: Many scrapbookers say they have a hard time achieving just the right balance of white space, so show off your talents at how you rock it out.
Cards
Bikes, Cars, Trains, Planes & Rockets: Whether cute and casual or modern and masculine, we’re looking for cards that feature bikes, cars, trains, planes, rockets or a combination of them.

Color Scheme: This month's color scheme is warm and lively and just the right pick me up for a cold, wintry day. How will you use it? We want to see, we want to see!

Easter: For this call, we would like to see cards that are either religious in nature, or cute, cuddly and featuring the Easter Bunny and other Easter related non-faith based traditions.

Get Well Soon/Feel Better/Smile: Anyone under the weather would appreciate a pick-me-up which is why we’re interested in cards that send a smile and wishes for better health.

Music: We’re running the gamut on this one, and cards can have any of the following: sheet music, musical instruments, people singing or playing music, song lyrics, or anything else music connected.

Silly Sentiments: Giving a giggle is a great way to share some humor and fun. For this call, we’re looking for sentiments that are silly and sure to tickle their funny bones. For example, “I love ewe” featuring an adorable sheep or “I chairish you” featuring a chair.

Shaped – Flowers: Your submitted card can either be in the shape of a flower or feature flower shapes, but this is not a call for flowers. Anything other than a flower shape will not be accepted.

Stamping
Dresses and/or Dress Forms: Both are hot and trendy right now, and we’re interested in seeing cards that put these stamps to good use. Projects that are technique driven will gain extra consideration.

Music Notes & Instruments: Remember that stamping calls don’t have to be on just cards and layouts. For this call, we’re looking for any type of project that features music notes and/or instruments.

Text: There are so many ways to add text to our projects and we’re looking for special and innovative cards or other projects that put text to the test.

Digital
Clean and Simple: Just the basics, ma'am! Paper, photos, journaling (and maybe a few embellishments) are all that's required to capture your memories. Classic in style, clean and simple layouts are eye-catchers in their own right. Show us your clean and simple digital or hybrid layouts - no kitchen sink required.

Cut-outs: All the rage in digi-land, cut-outs quickly have become a popular element on layouts. With paper or photos peeking through from behind, cut-outs add a new dimension to layouts. Show us your layouts using cut-outs.

Text on A Path: Circles, squares or curly-q's, oh my! Jazz up your journaling by typing your text on a path. Whether you create your own path or use a pre-designed path, we want to see you layouts that incorporate text on a path.

Word Art: The perfect sentiment, quote or title, word art adds that special something to layouts. Word art can be used as an artistic element or to reinforce the layout theme. We're looking for layouts using word art, particularly in unique and interesting ways.

Strut Your Stuff: In each issue of Scrapbook News and Review Magazine, we spotlight scrapbook pages of any style and genre. We're currently looking for pages in digital scrapbooking that feature a clearly defined style such as Clean and Simple, Dark and Industrial, Eclectic and Freestyle, Romance and Pretty Chic, Whimsical or Fantasy, and others just ripe for the picking. Please submit at least three to five layouts that you feel best represents your work and explain in a few brief sentences what style you feel best describes your work.

Please Note: This call is for digital scrapbookers only.

Mixed Media
Arches – Windows or Doorways: For this call, we’re looking for arches that feature windows or doorways. Artwork should include one or the other on it and should convey a message about the theme.

Artist Trading Cards – Women in History: March is Women in History month and what better way is there to celebrate the women who have made their marks in the annals of history than with an ATC? For this call, you can put any famous woman in the spotlight, but she must be of true historical significance.

Artist Trading Cards – Strut Your Stuff: Anything goes and you can send in ATC’s featuring any theme, style or color scheme.

Inchies – Clear Acrylic: The possibilities are endless with clear acrylic as the background. You can use clear acrylic in any fashion and with any theme or color scheme, but it must be ON clear acrylic.

Please Note: All mixed media calls are for artists of all styles and categories including traditional paper, hybrid or digital.
