{31 Day Challenges- Day 26} Organizing Your Freezer

Did you ever have a moment when you opened the freezer something hurled at you and you got hurt? Well I know it happened to me a lot of times till I figured a way for it to not to happen. The best way for me is to Freeze things flat.  Put that leftover chili in a freezer bag, seal, and lay the bag flat in the freezer until frozen. Flat things of an even thickness are easier to stack or organize upright in a container.

Looking into your organized freezer, you will be able to know what you have so you can plan your meals for week or what you need to get at the grocery store.

When you flatten the food either its raw or leftovers,  its a good idea to label and date them. Some items have a few months of shelf life but you want to make sure whats in there. Always rotate the items in the freezer when you buy so you can use up whats in there before use the fresher ones.

Invest on freezer bags and plastic containers for your freezer. It will benefit you in the long run.

Note: The door is the warmest place in the freezer, so don't put high-fat items like ice cream there when it can run the risk of melting and refreezing.

Thanks for Looking and Share On!
